I’m trying to decide which grill to buy. Do you have any information on product reviews and ratings?
Consumer Reports offers information on product performance ratings and advice on how to determine which model is best for you. You can search and read Consumer Reports articles on our website. From our catalog perform a title search for Consumer Reports Online. Follow the link to a selection of databases. Any of these will lead you to the interface for Consumer Reports but MasterFILE is the easiest to use.
Once you are on the EBSCO Consumer Reports page, you can browse by year and volume, or click Search within this publication to search for a specific topic.
For this search, go to Search within this publication and add your search word, such as grill, in the space directly under the JN “Consumer Reports” field. This will search for the keyword within all back issues. Searching for grill, you should retrieve 36 results, beginning with the most up-to-date gas grill reviews and recall updates. Click on the article title to display options to read, print, e-mail, or save the article.

From the library’s catalog, select the type of search you want to perform (keyword, title, author, etc.)
1. Enter your search term
2. In the View Entire Collection drop-menu select a library
3. Under the search box, click Only show items not checked out if you want to find materials that are currently available.
4. Click Submit
Is there an easy way to make sure all of my holds go to the same place?
You can now select a default hold pickup location to use when requesting a single item in the catalog. To use this feature:
Log in to My Account > Click Modify Personal Info > Select a location from the menu under HOME LIBR > Click Submit > Click Close Window
Now when you click the Request button on an item, your default location will be selected and all you have to do is click submit. Remember you must be logged in to your account for this feature to work.

I just learned that my child is autistic, and I’m feeling overwhelmed. Is there something out there for parents of an autistic child?
The library maintains a community information database, Tulsa Organizations and Services (TOS), to help you find Tulsa clubs, support groups, professional societies, social service and government agencies, libraries, museums, speakers, meeting facilities and more.
Find the Tulsa Organizations and Services link in the left column on our Research page. You can search by the name of the organization, by subject, or by keyword.
To find Tulsa resources about autism, try a keyword search for “autism.” This will take you to an entry for the Tulsa Autism Foundation. A keyword search of “Asperger’s” (or a subject search for Asperger’s Syndrome) will find some related groups.
Try Tulsa Organizations and Services whenever you need information about resources in Tulsa! For further assistance, contact us at 596-7977 or ask us your question at http://www.tulsalibrary.org/askus.
I want to go fishing, but first I have to tune up my mower, mow the yard, AND fix my boat motor. Do you have manuals for a Toro mower and a Mercury Outboard?
In addition to TCCL’s Clymer print repair manuals listed in our library catalog, library card holders can also access all Clymer manuals from the comfort of your own home.
Find it here at Small Engine Repair. After clicking on Small Engine Repair and entering your library card number, choose Outdoor Power Engines > Walk-Behind Mowers > Toro and finally select your specific model until you have the complete manual.
The same for your boat motor. Choose Marine/Boat Motors > Mercury > your Model. It’s that easy. The last step is to have a fun summer - - - after you mow the yard.
