Celebrate the arts with author Billie Letts
Enjoy an evening of arts, culture, laughter and heart at “Where the Art Is” on Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. at Central Library, Aaronson Auditorium, Fourth Street and Denver Avenue.
Meet Billie Letts, author of “Where the Heart Is,” “The Honk and Holler Opening Soon,” “Shoot the Moon” and “Made in the U.S.A.” Watch a performance of dramatic readings from Letts’ novels performed by actors from Playhouse Theatre Tulsa. See a special exhibit, “Thirteen Ways of Looking at Billie,” featuring a variety of artistic interpretations of Letts presented by the Whiteside Portrait Painters.
As a door prize, the library will give away two tickets to the play “August: Osage County” by Letts’ son, playwright/actor Tracy Letts. You must be present to win. Catch this Tony Award-winning and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Jan. 26-31 at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. Call the PAC at 596-7109 to purchase tickets.
Letts will sign books at the event. Copies of her books will be available for purchasing. For more information about “Where the Art Is,” contact the library at 596-7977 or www.tulsalibrary.org.
