ride to the polls

Now, there is truly no excuse for not voting in next Tuesday’s mayoral election. La Semana, the Urban League, the League of Women Voters and other organizations are offering complimentary rides to the polls. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. you can get curbside service to make your voice be heard by casting your vote.

Census Basics: Demographics From now 'til 2010

Need demographics information for you grant proposal or business plan? Join us in the Central Library Computer Training Room on Thursday, November 5 from 10:00a.m.-1:00p.m. for an introduction to finding demographics from the U.S. Census Bureau.

Steven Barker and Steve Beleu of the Oklahoma State Data Center will provide a basic introduction to demographic information available from the Census Bureau and offer a preview of what new information will be available after the 2010 census. Participants will learn how to search for key demographics for business plans and grant proposals.
