This free workshop is presented by the Tulsa City-County Library and sponsored by the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, South Central Region

SUMMARY
Designed for beginning grant proposal writers, this class presents a general overview of the grant and funding processes as well as the level of detail required in a successful proposal. Each component of the grant writing process will be addressed, including: documenting the need; identifying the target population; writing measurable objectives; developing a work plan, an evaluation plan and dissemination plan.
OBJECTIVES
Participants will be able to:
- Identify online resources to search for funding
- Describe the basic sections of a proposal
- Identify types of documents necessary to include with a proposal
- Recognize common mistakes of proposal writers

Marketing is one of the cornerstone functions of any organization. Join us for RSVP Voices of Experience’s steps for improved marketing effectiveness and low-cost/no-cost tools and techniques to put your nonprofit in the spotlight. Use of the Internet and social media will be emphasized.
Speakers will be Jim Barnes and Cindy Morrison. Mr. Barnes, a mortgage broker of 18 years, is a certified trainer in marketing and ethics through the Oklahoma Association of Mortgage Brokers. Cindy Morrison, Emmy winning journalist, has more than 20 years experience in TV News, having been the 5pm Anchor and Investigative Reporter at KTUL-TV in Tulsa and Anchor/Reporter for KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City.
